Instant Hot Spiced Tea...

I got a new recipe book this year that has some of my old favorites. My Mom and my Aunt used to make this tea and so now it's become a comfort food for me. It was called Russian Tea when we made it then, I don't know why the name, but this recipe is the same and still just as comforting. Oh, it's also good for a dose of vitamin C so here you go.

Instant Hot Spiced Tea

1/2 - 3/4 cup Instant Tea
2 cup Tang drink mix
2 cup Sugar (I use sugar substitute)
2 tablespoon lemonade mix
2-3 teaspoon cinnamon

Mix up all ingredients well and store in an air tight container. Mix 2 teaspoons in a mug of hot water and enjoy! Blessings from the holler...

I can feel the steam coming from that cup and even smell it. Looks so good---and, of course, a festive mug is a must. This is my cup of tea, now! cheers, Mrs. JP!

Your drink sounds nice. I had never heard of "instant tea" until I read your post. I couldn't even find it on my online grocery shopping website - just tea leaves and bags. I remeber Tang here in New Zealand in the 1970's but I haven't seen it for ages.

I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas. Wishing you all the best for 2012

Sounds yummy :)
Have you listened to Sarah McgLachlan's
"Wintersong" album? Just discovering it now...beautiful tones for Silent Night, What Child is This... She is from Seattle, WA. Love her tones and heart.
Best to all of you for the New Year :)

Sweet hugs,

Oh I remember having that same tea, but I don't remember what it was called. Now I'm gonna have to have some - it'll be perfect again for those chilly days at work and at night curled up on the couch!

Thanks for checking on our kids! They are new to blogging, and have some catching up to do - I know they are super-busy. Very sweet of you! I'm off to do some catching up myself HERE! Thanks for your visit!
