Is It Spring Yet?...

The answer to that question is definitely NOT! Wow, we got lots of snow and we continue to have flurries each day. The dogs like it and are having so much fun, especially Speedbump and Scrappy. That Charlie was being a photo hog today.

On my walk to the mailbox today I took a few pictures for you. I'm not getting out in the snow much, mostly, I'm drinking hot drinks and trying to stay warm while getting the daily chores done. It's coffee until noon and then I switch over to hot tea for the evening. Too much caffeine and I start to feel and think like Spongebob Squarepants. I happened to look at my favorite tea box yesterday, Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane, and saw this quote, "Let us love winter, for it is the spring of genius" - Pietro Aretino. This struck me as downright dumb! Love winter? Na, I don't think so bub, you love it if you want. Then, this morning as I walked back up the hill and by our flower beds it came to me. There, under a foot of snow, are bulbs and flowers of all kinds waiting for God to bring the next season, Spring! Okay, maybe I'll try to like winter a little more Pietro.

Did this post make any sense? I may have rambled on but hopefully you can make some sense out of it. See, it's about time to switch to de-caff. Blessings to you all from the frozen holler...

Your snow looks so wonderful! Riley has never experienced snow (it is summer here now and our winters are too warm) so it is nice to see photos of your dogs enjoying it, and thinking about what lies beneath.

Great photos, Mrs JP! And that Charlie boy can be in ANY picture, he is SO handsome. If I was a GSD girl, I'd fall for him....I always did like the guys with long hair....lol. Stay warm and keep drinking that tea!

Liking winter takes a bit of effort, for sure. But winter sort of makes all the others seasons even sweeter! Love the picture of dogs. Charlie is quite regal looking in that one picture!

Mom hates the "feel" of winter, but she does love the look of it - your photos bear that out for sure. We are still enjoying our snow too.

And yes, Gypsy Girl is already wagging her nubber away. Mom will have to try to get a video of it.

This post made us smile! I would love to trot on over for snow play all day long!!!!! Mom's favorite lotion is candy cane vanilla :) Hot drinks all day sounds great! We're rain or snowsuit first thing here every morning...just to get me out for a bit...our smallish backyard is rampant with all kinds of mushrooms...so mom dawns the all weather gear, a few sips of hot coffee and we head out to the nearest fireroad for a bit... Mom so wishes she could get through just one delicious hot drink before I start nudging her!!! :)

Sweet hugs,
Sierra Rose

*GIGGLE* I'm afraid I don't share Pietro's take on winter. Although I do love the quiet of a new-fallen snow... it is SOO peaceful.
I had to kick the coffee habit a couple of years ago, but I SO enjoy my General Foods Swiss Mocha right now. The sugar rush is AMAZING!

I like reading your post and especially like the pictures you put on here. I like Spring the best, after that the Summer months even though they are hot. Fall is pretty but Winter is so dreary so I too am looking forward to Spring.

Hi Mrs. JP! Thanks for stopping by. How goes your winter? Me, I'm tired of it, and I'm ready for spring & gardening! I'm NOT a winter type person...

Your dogs are so happy and cute. I know ya'll get alot of entertainment from them. (and I think they get alot of entertainment from us, too - I wonder what they're thinking as they watch us sometimes!)

Lovely photos - and we too are waiting for spring (even though we're getting snow tomorrow and next week).
