We're loving this spring...

Corrie is convinced that she is solar powered. Since the sun has been so warm she gets in her spot and won't come in unless she is forced.

I saw this idea in a recent magazine. After pruning the peach trees I brought some twigs in that had buds on them, put them in water and in a few days I got to have spring blooms inside. It is supposed to work for any budding tree or bush, give it a try! I think forsythias would be beautiful.

JP bought some massive shelving for the garage, we put them together and we got most of that area straightened up. This inspired me to give my sewing area a much needed redo!

It's amazing how junked up I had let this area get but now it's beautiful and I'm ready to get one of my unfinished projects out and sew some.

JP took some days off last week and we got so many chores done. He said the other day that our next post should be titled "hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work we go." Spring brings so many chores with it but the warm weather makes it nice. We cut up some trees that fell during the winter and hauled them to our burn area, pruned the peach trees some more, mowed the yard, and washed and waxed the truck - well, almost done with that one. Oh, JP smoked three slabs of ribs and they were delicious. The days off were very productive and now it's back to regular stuff. But, all in all it was a very nice time. We are so blessed and thankful for all God has provided. Blessings to you all - it's springtime in the holler...
p.s. thanks to JP for changing the blog background over to spring too!

As much as we love our snow, we are enjoying the spring too. Phantom loves to soak up the sun too.

The flowering branches are so pretty. Spring is just so pretty when all the trees blossom.

Corrie is going green! With her dark fur, I bet she is really HOT to the touch after sun bathing. My sister's dog has dark fur and is so hot after lying in the sun I cannot believe it!
Very pretty buds, and you sewing area looks great. Neatness does inspire one. I will soak in your springtime in the holler until spring arrives in my neck of the woods.

Happy sundog, Corrie! She looks so comfy. Do your dogs chase bees? Kane is having a fab time now that they're out again.
Glad to hear you guys got a lot of yardwork done, we are also soaking up the sunshine and making gardenplans etc. Hope the sunshine continues for your week!

I love how dogs are solar powered. They appear to have tummy timers and know just when to roll over!

Your post reminds me of the cycle we all share with another six months until to spring here, so it is lovely to see what is happening on your side of the world, and know that through the seasons we are all connected.

I'm with Corrie... I could just flatten out in a nice sunny spot after the winter we've had.
Neat idea about the blossoms! I may have to try that.
And your little creative space looks fabulous... can't wait to see some finished projects!
