I missed Thankful Thursday but I think any and everyday is a good day to be thankful. As always, we are abundantly blessed by The Lord. Spring is on it's way and we are being blessed by the first blooms in the yard. Our forsythia reminds me of yellow fireworks!
Today I finished a blanket for a very special baby. Some people we know opened their home as a foster home a couple of years ago. Then, as God would have it, they were able to adopt the sweet baby girl that they raised from just a few weeks old. She is a delight to all and her grandma is taking special care to spoil her as is her duty.
Speedbump is smiling to show you her fresh cleaned teeth. She is happy to be home but the girls at our vets office spoil her when she's there so she doesn't mind going at all.
Isn't it nice to hear that there are good things that happen in this world filled with trouble? I don't want to ever take these simple blessings for granted - - new baby in a family, spring flowers, and our Bump having clean teeth. Make sure to count your blessings; it'll make you smile like Bump! Weekend blessings to you all from the holler...

Sweet post. When you see the tragedy occurring today in Japan, it really makes one appreciate the little blessings in our lives.

Great post Mrs JP!
Blessings to you and yours. :)
Those flowers are beautiful!
Speedbump has a bee-yu-tiful smile!
Love the quilt- and the story behind it.
I agree... the simple blessings in life should never be taken for granted- flowers blooming, springtime, precious babies, and smiling dogs are all gifts from God!
Hi Mrs. JP, that is a great post and a great reminder that we are surrounded by blessings everyday. Thank God!

I cannot belive my eyes seeing forsythia! It will be May before we see it. The quilt is sweet---perfect colors. What a happy ending for that little baby girl. Speedbump is the bomb! And yes, we overlook the smalll blessings. It's refreshing to hear you mention that.
Hi there Mrs. JP! It has been a while since I was last here. Everything is good with us. Little boy is growing so fast and hard to believe he is almost 3-mo old!
That little blanket is so pretty! Hugs to the pack!
