Spring blooms still beautiful...

These blooms are our first apple blossoms. It's sad that we have to pick them but the tree isn't old enough to bear fruit.

The weeping cherry tree will be beautiful soon.

These little guys are weeds. There are some solid purple and the variegated white and purple. The are tiny pansys and they are all over the yard--I just hate mowing over them.

We also have blue bells in quite a few nooks because when we moved here my mom brought some of hers over and we planted them everywhere.

The red bud trees are so pretty against the gray backdrop of the trees that haven't put on the new leaves yet.

Spring time blessings to you all from the holler...

I just love all the beautiful trees that flower in spring - your red buds are very nice. I need to get one of those for our yard. Our trees are budding now too, despite the snow we had, and might have overnight:(

what you call tiny pansies are the Illinois state flower, the wood violet. The purple variety grow wild all over Illinois, and the white version are the ones I have in my yard when the birds mixed the seeds with my purple varieties.
