Rainy day sleepyheads...

Today is a rainy day in the holler. My Grandma used to say "it's a dreary day but I guess we'll take it." The fog has rolled in outside and the dogs look like they've all been given a sedative. They're just resting up so they can bark at the thunder later when JP and I want to sleep.
Soon, though, we'll pull that straw covering off of the strawberry bed. The blueberries (center) have been fertilized and the peach trees pruned so we are getting ready for spring. I need to get my tomato seeds sown so I'll be ready when garden time comes. Have you done that already?

Scrappy only opened one eye.

Speedbump looks absolutely drugged.

Oh, this black cap chickadee didn't want his picture taken but I waited until he hopped around the feeder.

Charlie stays in his kennel when he can; it's his little den.

It's a rainy day but our spirits are thankful for the liquid sunshine. Blessings from the holler...

The doggies are making me sleepy! Maybe Scrappy is just winking at you?! They all look so relaaaxxxed! I'll trade you your rain for the 6-8 inches of snow we are forecast to get tonight into tomorrow! LIfe looks pretty darn good in the holler!

Blueberries and strawberries - yummers!!! We have a very rainy, sleety, and slushy day here. Cold and damp. We have all been crashed in our crates or on our beds too. Mom knows we need the rain, but oh the mud:(

We're getting the sam thing here down the road from you all... but we sure need it. Things were starting to get dusty around here!
Have you noticed any of your fruit trees budding in the last few days with this warm spell we've been having? Mine are~ and I hope they don't get killed by a frost.
Stay cozy today, my friend...

While we have sunshine today the 20 degree temps are not making me think Spring yet.
My fur kids are lazing around as well.

Ah! Very sweet looking sleepy heads!
Hope you had a nice weekend :) Saturday night...MIDNIGHT...I ended up getting sprayed by a SKUNK in our back yard! Freaked out, I sped past mom into our house, and releived the stinging in my eyes by rolling around on different carpet surfaces. Two trips to the store for bathing supplies, I got 2 baths Sat. night, mom poured stuff on carpets to clean Sunday....no one could stand the smell IN THE HOUSE!!!!! Sunday was spent with more baths, more carpet cleanings and destinkifying :) Oh joy.

Sweet hugs!
