Say it again...

Our darling Speedbump has always been a talker. She started popping her jaws to get attention and she tells us when she wants to go outside. It's very convenient and entertaining, but now that it's cold outside she likes to go outside enjoy the north wind blow so she's talking all the time! This past summer, I was inspired by MAXMOM to teach Bumpy a hand signal for her to "speak." I touch my mouth and she woofs! It's funny, sometimes she stomps her foot if I happen to ignore her. Charlie is also a talker but your eardrums wouldn't survive the video :O) So, I took this video this past summer and wanted to share it with you. Oh, in the background is Sweet Violet picking on Charlie, she's just a typical little sister.

Blessings from the holler...

Very cute!!! That would be fun to teach our dogs to speak! I remember teaching my dogs as kids to do all kinds of tricks!
Thanks for your comment on tattoos. I will let you know what I do. I just can't think of anything to tattoo! I wonder what I should do. It has to be VERY meaningful...like yours is! A quick story, my son left a Christian school last year because a teacher said that anyone who has a tattoo will go to H__ll. Anyways, he was so upset about the comment because of all the family members with tattoos I had to pull him out..The principal did say it is Grace, just like you and the teacher was addressed over this issue. Only because a lot of kids go to the school, not just Christians... So, that's my story!!

My dad's younger beagle will speak when my dad is preparing his dinner. He barks up a storm. I think he has a beautiful voice so I love it.

Oh Mrs JP....!!!!
I'm smiling from ear to ear! How absolutely fabulous! I know what it takes to teach a doggie to do this, but once they understand...a stronger bond seems to form between you and them. They will look at you deeper than ever before. (as I am sure you already know, because it is evident on your video that Speedbump is doing this.)
CONGRATULATIONS! Wonderful stuff!!!

Great trick for you and Speedbump to have mastered. What a great name - would love to hear the story behind that one.

Just click on Speedbump's name over on the right hand side, underneath The Pack picture, and you can read all about how she got that name. For that matter, each dog's name links to the first post about how that particular dog came to be one of the pack in the holler.

Speedbump is not only beautiful but smart! I enjoyed seeing some of the other pack members playing in the background----so relaxing to watch. I look forward to seeing more from the "holler" in 2011!
