Bath day...

Yesterday was the dreaded bath day. I say "dreaded" because no one likes it. But, bathe we must. I start out with Corrie first because she really, really gets nervous and so we just get it out of the way "quick like pulling off a band-aid." Next was her sister Violet, Charlie, Daisy, Speedbump and Scrappy (she's always last because hers is the easiest.) Afterward I clean the bathroom and gather the pile of towels and walk through the house enjoying the calm after the storm. They're all so relaxed and taking their good "after bath" naps.

Whew, we're all glad that's over. What they always forget is that tomorrow is brushing all the loose fur day! It's not so bad and helps with the shedding until next time.
Squeaky clean in the holler...

I can almost smell that wet hair. Corrie has one thick coat of hair! I am dog sitting the two labs right now and am thinking about giving them both a bath on Friday. It's a big, sweaty job and when they shake off the water, watch out! And did you ever notice that they have a sixth sense when you even think of bathing them---they just seem to know!
Happy brushing day tomorrow:)

Oh, don't they just look so tired after their baths? They are not even the ones doing the work!
Shhh, don't tell the girls but they will be getting their you-know-what this weekend too.

They look so cool and relaxed! I imagine the baths feel so nice especially in the summertime. :)

Hey there Mrs JP
You forgot to mention your sore back and the fact that you probably needed a bath yourself afterwards ! LOL! :)
Nowadays its easier for me with only 2 dogs in the household, but I can imagine that it must take you the whole morning! (Sorry, I forgot - it must be a two day effort!)
I'm sure they loved it though!
Sending lotsaluv

Your post reminds me of my angel doggie Keelee (1995-2008) who would hide everywhere to avoid a bath. My golden Neeli loves them - my 1st ever doggie who enjoys takig a bath.

Great blog - I'll be reading daily!
