Mystery bird...

A friend of mine had this bird at her feeder and sent me the picture to see if I knew what kind he is. I don't know, but I bet you do. Can you help us out?

Also, our star gazer lilies were really pretty this year. They multiply so much I'm gonna have to divide the bed up again this fall but that's ok because they are beautiful.

That looks like the barn swallows that have been hanging around here... I had to take my blue bird house down and relocate it, because they were running my blue birds out of it!
The lilies are so pretty- I love the colors!

Looks like a swallow, so Barn Swallow seems like a good answer to me. I didn't get my Purple Martin gourds up in time this year. They have to come down every year because the black birds move in in the fall and stay all year. When the Martins return their home is occupied, and the black birds chase them off. So the gourds will have to wait till next summer.

Although your lilies are certainly beautiful, they are not "STARGAZERS", your lilies are an asiatic lily. Stargazers are oriental lilies and bloom later in the season and are highly fragrant. The asiatics are a great shot of color here (Southern Oregon) in late spring, the orientals are more midsummer and truly magnificent. The sites below will explain it better than I.
