Must be Jelly cuz Jam don't shake like that...

I made the most unusual jelly today. Rose petal jelly. I followed TennZen's Rose Jelly recipe it is beautiful and it tastes good too! I had to test it you know. Quality control and all that. I want to say a special thank you to TennZen for the recipe and encouraging me to try something new.

Before.

After.

I have never heard of this. What does it taste like? Did you add fruit of any kind?

Ha, ha - you're hooked! Your jelly looks gorgeous and I bet it tastes wonderful. I'm glad you enjoyed the recipe.

You should enter a jar of it in your county fair this year!

I was so surprised by the taste. It has a berry taste and yet there's no fruit in it except 2 teaspoons of lemon juice which goes in almost all jellies. It was a fun experiment and I'll be making more because I think it'll be fun for gifts during the year.

I've heard of it, but never tried it! It looks so pretty in the jars... if it tastes half as good as it looks, I'll bet it's wonderful!

How fun! What kind of roses? Any kind?

Lena, I'm sure any kind would work. Ours are a simple old fashion rose. It would be neat to try different colors and see if it'd taste different.
