Be our guest...

A couple of weeks ago I decided that I wanted some humming bird pictures. So I stood at my window waiting. I must apologize for the quality of these pictures because my windows aren't the cleanest in the county by far. First I saw this little gal waiting her turn I suppose. She just sat there waiting her turn unlike her male counterparts who insist on fighting for a spot at the feeder.

Then, to my surprise and delight, this little bird flew up, sat down and rested a while. I couldn't believe it! I don't know what it is about our front porch that makes birds so comfortable that they think they can lay down and take a nap but I love it. The year before last a blue bird did the same thing. JP suggested then, that I should make some tiny pillows and velcro them to the railing.

Do birds yawn?

So, it was a great treat to get to see so much of God's creation up close. I believe that He knows exactly what delights His children and sends us these blessings to brighten our day and keep in our heart forever. Blessings to you all from the holler...

WOW! Those were wonderful close-ups of the birds! I love it when God lets us see his creations up close, too...
And I don't know about small birds, but chickens yawn... and it's hysterical.

Doncha just love watching the birds! I do. One time, I found a baby hummer sitting on the barded wire fence. It let me get to within a couple of feet. I just stood there and looked at it and talked softly to it. It sat there for a good 5 minutes and we just visited. Then, it finally flew off. It was SO tiny!

Glad you had such a wonderful visit with your grand-daughter. Sounds like you girls were busy with fun projects! Those times she'll remember for all her life!
