I saw these little chicks on a quilt on Farmhouse Blessings. I got the template and this is what I came up with. It's a spring table topper. Of course, I'll be making more. I think on the next one I'll do yo-yo flowers or a tulip applique. We'll see what I come up with. I love to use up scraps and this reminds me of spring so that's a win-win for me. Thanks for the template Lea.

Oh my, it turned out even cuter than I imagined! The little nine patch just sets it off and makes it look so homespun.
I had imagined it being a long strip of blocks rather than a square but I can just see one of these in the middle of my kitchen table. Who knows, I might not finish that quilt after all ~ I just may end up with some toppers instead. :0)
I'm so glad that you're enjoying them as much as I am.
Many blessings,
Lea
That is so adorable!! I love the colors you picked out- those are perfect.
I need to pop over to Lea's blog and check hers out too... I might just have to make me one!
I love this. I can't wait for Spring!!! We are having a snow storm today!

I love all your doggie pics, too - they are having so much fun in the snow! YOu're right - they turned into puppies again!
